Zegna @ Sawgrass Mills
Sunrise, FL
Since Ermenegildo Zegna built a wool mill in Italy in 1910, the family-owned company has grown from a spinner of yarns into an international brand with nearly 600 stores in major capital cities around the world. Over a two-year period, SRS designed and shepherded Zegna’s moves through several relocations in Sawgrass, overseeing design, construction, and zoning approvals. Each permutation, including the ultimate 3,500 SF site, was designed to conform with the Italy-based corporate model, but modified to meet restrictive local codes. The resulting collaboration reflects the character of Zegna’s subdued, yet elegant products. Dove gray walls, blond wood fixtures and shelving, and slate gray marble floors are the ideal setting for Zegna’s signature fabrics - wool, cashmere, vicuña, mohair, and alpaca – used in well-tailored business apparel and sportswear. Other high-end products include shoes, leather goods, signature Estee Lauder fragrances, and distinctive accessories.
