Lauderhill City Hall

City of Lauderhill

Since 2007, our firm has been helping to reshape the urban environment of this city founded in 1959. Having grown significantly over the past six decades, the City of Lauderhill has been challenged to reinvent itself, calling upon City officials, neighborhood preservation groups, and business and civic leaders to maximize possibilities for a productive and fulfilling future. Our firm is proud to participate along with Lauderhill's leadership in defining and visualizing a new urban landscape, which promises to promote the economic climate, improve human and social services, expand existing resources, and optimize cultural, educational, and recreational experiences.

Located less than one mile west of Fort Lauderdale, this city of 70,000+ residents offers thriving business and residential communities. Early Lauderhill was the home of a MacArthur Dairy Farm, where cows grazed on thousands of undeveloped acres. In the 1960s and '70s, Jackie Gleason brought celebrity to the Lauderhill master-planned community known as Inverrary. With unique and innovative housing styles, Inverrary and its Country Club presented the legendary Jackie Gleason Inverrary Golf Classic. The city also introduced the first enclosed air-conditioned mall in the Southeast in 1966.

According to more recent records, the median age of residents is 34.9 years and 57.2 percent of the population is between the ages of 18 and 64. Most significantly, this youthful City is undergoing a transformation that will generate new opportunities for business owners and residents.
