Plantation, FL

A treasured 20.3-acre community park undergoes a transition when it is combined it with a 3.7-acre site formerly used for a City-owned parking garage, increasing functionality to 24 acres. Located near Westfield Broward Mall, Pine Island Park includes multiple lighted soccer fields, playground, and picnic pavilion. For safety, the park is protected by a lightning prediction and warning system in the event of bad weather.

SRS enjoys a well-deserved reputation for park design excellence and expertise through conceptual development to upgrades and modernizations, including the reimagining of South Florida’s parks and parklands through the years. At Pine Island Park, additions include two SRS-designed buildings for administrative, concessions, and restroom facilities.
