Synalovski Romanik Saye Leads the Way for Sustainable Architectural Design

January 3, 2013
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – For more than a decade, Synalovski Romanik Saye has been an active leader for "green" architectural design and contract administration.

"Our firm has been taking a proactive position on sustainability for many years," said Manuel Synalovski, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, founding principal. "As part of our responsibility to clients, society and future generations, we always plan for the most durable and energy-efficient materials, state-of-the art equipment and design elements that best fit Florida's humid and tropical climate."

The firm, which comprises a multilingual professional staff, offers planning services, architectural design, interior design, LEED administration, and construction management. Many of the firm's projects have qualified for and been certified as LEED Silver and Gold, designations awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council for excellent stewardship of the planet's environment.

LEED rating systems are based on strategies that minimize the impact on ecosystems and water resources; promote better building energy performance; use of sustainable building materials and waste reduction; promote better indoor air quality and access to daylight; promote walkable, vibrant, mixed-use neighborhoods with access to efficient transportation; and encourage construction on previously developed or infill sites.

Most recently, SRS was recognized for the City of Lauderhill's Municipal Complex with LEED Silver, from U.S. Green Building Council, South Florida Chapter. Other LEED award-winning projects include Paul DeMaio Branch Library, Dania Beach, for LEED Gold, Commercial Interiors; Lexus Florida Service Facility, Miramar, for LEED Gold, Commercial Interiors; and Children Services Council, Lauderhill, LEED Silver, New Construction.
