The serene Mediterranean-style character – earth-toned stucco, deep-green awnings and canopies, terra cotta-tiled roofs and parapets – of this retail center belies the major construction and engineering feats required to produce it. The site included a 40-foot-deep canal lacking a proper seawall. With a bold engineering solution, SRS resolved the design, construction, and governmental issues to create a new seawall, widen setbacks, and develop a new footprint for two buildings. Comprising 13,376 SF of 15 retail and service bays, the retail center provides optimal leasing opportunities, ample parking, and safe pedestrian and vehicular access.
