Founders Brent Goldman, EdD, Richard Goldman, PhD, and Steve Margolis, MBA, drew on their combined professional backgrounds to create a technology-based college preparatory prototype for students Grades 6-12. Brent, founder and Headmaster of Weston's Sagemont School, a traditional bricks-and-mortar college preparatory middle and high school, designed by SRS; Richard, a pioneer in the development of distance and Internet-based learning, and Dean of Education, Nova Southeastern University; and Steve, an entrepreneur and top Florida homebuilder for 25 years, all collaborated on this forward-thinking project. SRS provided the orchestration of their theme: an efficient and streamlined setting for individualized study, flexible all-day access, and technology-enhanced curriculum, staffed with master coaches offering college preparatory skills and counseling.
