Located on a 3.15-acre site at SW 14th Street and I-75, nestled between three municipalities, Home 2 Suites by Hilton presents multiple challenges: triangular-shaped lot, wetland mitigation, and zoning and permitting processes requiring approval from four distinct administrative agencies.

SRS’s outstanding reputation in government relations is a key factor in streamlining government approval from permitting through completion for the five-story, 93,450 SF hotel. Approvals for the site plan and building permit are to be sought from the Town of Davie, access easement from Weston, and water services from Sunrise. The final stage of authorization is to be capped by a Broward County plat amendment.

The wetlands lot was mitigated by a land swap and transformed from swamp to desirable purpose, including a man-made 29,200 SF lake that offers natural beauty, aquatic life refuge, as well as storm drainage.

The hotel is configured in a linear shape with fitness center, swimming pool, lakeside and outdoor amenities clustered in one wing. Reception center, meeting space, and breakfast area are in the opposite wing. Serene and welcoming, guest areas for dining, entertainment, and socializing are spacious, comfortable, and colorfully refreshing. Four upper floors, at 18,700 SF each, offer a total of 136 rooms and suites. With 11 additional ground floor bedrooms, Home 2 Suites offers a grand total of 147 guest rooms.
