Atlantic Village, Phase 1
Hallandale Beach, FL
With its proximity to Hallandale Beach’s Gulfstream Park, Atlantic Village is a welcome extension of that legendary destination for tourists and residents alike. Planned as a multi-phased project, the first phase of Atlantic Village offers a dynamic cosmopolitan mix, featuring a two-story office/commercial space, and shops, restaurants, landscaped social plazas, and a self-contained parking structure.
SRS worked closely with the client and the City of Hallandale Beach to fast-track development processes from site plan to construction documents, code compliance, and building permits. Architectural design is sleek and clean-lined, with eco-friendly wood and concrete textures, and expansive glass panels affording views into the shops from streetside. Zoning requirements stipulated a portion of civic space for pedestrian activity. SRS amplified the space with an open-corridor, second-floor balcony, and colonnade, which overlook and shade a landscaped social plaza. Here, visitors find benches and bike racks, café chairs and tables, and enticing glimpses into shops and restaurants.
